Brian Hammons, captain of the Krewe of Centaur, talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about this year's Centaur parade, which hits the streets of Shreveport Saturday, February 3, at 4:30.

Hammons reminds KEEL listeners that this year's parade features country music superstar Trace Adkins as its Grand Marshall. Adkins, who hails from Sarepta, "is so excited" about being part of this year's Mardi Gras festivities. Says Hammons, "He's tickled pink. Every day we get something new from his manager. It's going to be huge."

Hammons, whose theme as Captain is inspired by Jules Verne's "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea", also addresses the annual rumors that the routes for the major parades could change, saying there are no plans for either Centaur or the Krewe Gemini celebrations to return to Bossier.
