Just a few months ago, many of us felt sadness about one of areas most unique cuisine options leaving us. Now, it's time to celebrate.

In February of 2020, Ono's Hawaiian Grill made the announcement that they would be shutting their doors on Fern Ave effective immediately. The news went viral on the local level, with thousands of SBC residents showing love and supports for the authentic Hawaiian food restaurant. With their brick-and-mortar closing, Ono's left us with a promise... That they will return.

The best part: They didn't take long at all to fulfill that promise, and what a better time than now. With all brick-and-mortar options in Shreveport-Bossier having to change the way they do business, some have been completely unable to open at all amid our COVID-19 outbreak. Ono's Hawaiian Grill is coming back just in the nick of time,

As they alluded to when they announced their closing, Ono's has came back to where it all started, in a big, beautiful food truck. When Ono's first arrived to town, they made a big name for themselves among locals due to their extremely popular food truck. That popularity grew and led them to opening their restaurant on Fern back in 2016.

I think it's just beautiful how life can work sometimes. We lost Ono's for a little while, back when we all took simply going out to eat at a restaurant for granted. Now, with limited dining options, we get Ono's Hawaiian Grill back and they'll be hitting the streets as early as tomorrow, May 6th.

They have announced their schedule for the rest of the work week, which you can see below. They shared on Facebook that they will be making their weekend schedule announcement very soon.
