Yesterday we learned San Diego Comic-Con would bring big news for Wonder Woman with Warner Bros. finally confirming our hopes of a Patty Jenkins-directed sequel. That’s bound to be just a sliver of the big news to come out of the studio’s panel on Saturday, and ahead of it we’ve already learned the sequel’s potential release date.

Sony knows that it’s summertime and in the summer traffic can be bad. So bad, even, that you might be running late to the movie theater and miss the first few minutes of Spider-Man: Homecoming this weekend. I personally have a rule that if I miss more than the first few minutes of a movie, I skip the whole thing for another showing. So in case you’re worried about missing the beginning of Homecoming because some jerk decided to hit the emergency break on the subway, have no fear. Sony just released the first four minutes of their new Spidey outing.

There’s a huge problem at the center of Ghost in the Shell. You already knew that, though. You’ve heard about the whitewashing controversy and the problems of co-opting Asian culture for western audiences. But as bad as you might have heard that whitewashing problem is, it’s even worse. Wonder Woman may have some of the most gorgeous superhero posters of all time. In Gore Verbinski‘s A Cure for Wellness, DeHaan plays Mr. Lockhart, an arrogant stock broker who visits a demented spa in the Swiss Alps. After a brutal car accident, Lockhart is stuck at the eerie aquatic facility with a broken leg, and with the help of Mia Goth‘s Hannah, he begins to uncover the dark secrets of the institute’s past.

Following Sunday night’s Critics’ Choice Awards, the Golden Globes nominations have arrived. On Monday morning, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced their nominees for the 2017 awards, recognizing the best in film and television.

I really wish the Fifty Shades of Grey franchise would leave Beyonce’s discography alone. Don’t get me wrong, I love “Crazy in Love,” but did those lyrics really match the events of Fifty Shades of Grey? Scarlett Johansson has played Natasha Romanoff in five Marvel movies, five, and yet she still hasn’t gotten her own Black Widow solo movie. It’s kind of crazy, especially since fans have been clamoring for the female superhero to get her own film for ages – just this summer a new poll found that audiences want a Black Widow movie over any other Avengers character. Kevin Feige recently ignited some hope, saying Marvel is “committed” to giving the superhero her own movie, the Russo brothers called it a “no-brainer,” and Joss Whedon is down to direct. Now Johansson has chimed in to share her ideas for a solo movie.
