Best + Worst States for Nurses: How Does the Ark-La-Tex Stack Up?
Nursing is a wonderful career choice, but some states are better suited for this path than others.
Nurses are angels in uniform. They live to serve and care for others, and for that I have a lot of respect for those who answer this calling on their lives. Like many career choices, this path has transitional periods and is better served in some states than others. WalletHub has ranked every state and Washington D.C. from best to worst when it comes to nursing careers.
The Ark-La-Tex was left pretty divided.
We'll start with where they gathered their information. WalletHub examined many factors that effect nursing professionals, like opportunities for employment, work environment, unionization, student loans and more. Wisconsin and Washington D.C. were bookends of the list, with Wisconsin being the best state for nurses and D.C. being the worst.
Here is how the Ark-La-Tex measured up:
4. Texas
34. Arkansas
48. Louisiana
