After a little over one year, Big Country is finally able to reopen.

It has been one heck of a ride for Big Country. For over three years, Big Country reigned supreme as Shreveport-Bossier's #1 nightclub destination. Then, as we all know too well, COVID-19 happened and our lives were drastically changed overnight. Luckily for most of us, things began moving again not too long after the initial shutdown. Businesses were able to reopen, restaurants began serving food, bars began serving drinks, and most of us were able to go back to work.

The same cannot be said for Big Country of Bossier City.

While other bars were able to reopen, Big Country had to watch from the sidelines. Due to the size of the club, and the restrictions handed down to bars and nightclubs, there was no possible way for Big Country to open their doors and come close to making a profit. The club is simply too big and the restrictions were simply too harsh.

However, Shreveport-Bossier residents who loved Big Country and waited patiently for its return finally have some great news.

Due in large part to Louisiana greatly loosening it's restrictions against bars, Big Country will be reopening this weekend, kicking things off Friday night. With Louisiana lifting it's capacity limit, Big Country can now fill-up their monstrous venue with patrons who have missed their favorite party destination.

I know this past year has been beyond tough for the owner and staff of Big Country, and I'm excited that they were able to survive the pandemic and get back to doing what they do best: Throwing the best party in the Ark-La-Tex.

Congrats to Big Country of Bossier City!
