In June, the ArkLaTex said goodbye to a true nightlife staple when Rockin' Rodeo closed it's doors.

Now, under new management, the venue is ready to open back up in a new, big way. Big Country is now the establishment's name and I must say, it certainly lives up to that name once you step foot inside.

I'm convinced that those who visited Rockin' Rodeo regularly and those who have never been to that building will both be completely blown away when they step inside and see this place for the first time. The building has been completely renovated from the ground up, inside and out. The club's downstairs area features an extremely large main room and dance floor, equipped with two large bars, a stage, and a drop down VIP section.

Upstairs is separated into two sections. One section features a large bar, pool tables, restrooms, and a dance floor with dance music and current country music. The other section features pool tables and a mechanical bull.

The third room, which is downstairs, used to feature karaoke. Now, it has been remodeled into a full-service restaurant and bar.

One enhancement I really like is that the upstairs section now has several garage doors that can open to get a better view of the action below.

Big Country is finally opening it's doors for the very first time this week. Their grand opening is this Thursday, December 29th. They'll, of course, be open Friday night as well. Their New Years Eve party is sure to be one of the most enjoyed and talked-about events in town. You can buy tickets to their gigantic NYE event by clicking HERE.
