The Buffalo Bills placed Shreveport native corneback Tre'Davious White, along with Ike Boettger and Eli Ankou, on the Physically Unable to Perfom list.  The Bills are just starting training camp, so White being on the PUP list at this time doesn't necessarily mean he won't be ready to play when the season begins.

White tore his ACL Thanksgiving Night last year against the New Orleans Saints.  According to Bills officials, White's recovery is on schedule, and "looking good", according to Bills' Coach Sean McDermott.

White began his football career at Green Oaks High School here in Shreveport where he played cornerback and quarterback.  He committed to LSU, where he excelled, becoming one of the best corners to come out of Death Valley. Playing from 2013-2016, White earned several honors while at LSU, including All-SEC honors from the AP, first team honors from the American Football Coaches Association, as well as a consensus All-American. He was also selected to wear the coveted number 18 jersey, reserved for players who show exceptional leadership qualities on the team.

White was a first round draft pick selected by the Buffalo Bills as the 27th pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.  White made an immediate impact in the NFL being named the No. 1 starting corner with the Bills alongside E.J. Gaines.  White was named First-Team All Pro, as well as NFL Interceptions co-leader in 2019. He made second team All-Pro in 2020, and selected to the Pro Bowl in 2019 & 2020.

White has returned to Shreveport over the years, always giving back to the community.  Last year at Thanksgiving, he personally bought 1,000 turkeys for local families in need. And just this last March, he sponsored a food drive, feeding hundreds of people in Shreveport. White said he just wants to give back to the community that's given him so much.

Players Born In The Shreveport Area Picked In The NFL Draft

These players were born in the Shreveport area, but did not necessarily play high school or college football in the area. This also doesn't include players born in another area, who moved to Shreveport later in life (Dak Prescott, Trent Taylor)
