Bishop Larry Brandon, pastor of Shreveport's Praise Temple Full Gospel Baptist Church, talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about the recent rash of shootings in the city's black neighborhoods and the possible solutions.

Brandon repeats his mantra, "We're better together," and adds that he agrees with Mayor Tyler, saying, "We do need to come together better than we have, not only the preachers, the churches, the community organizations, but the police and politicians as well." The Bishop then gets to the heart of the problem: "It begins in the home. And unfortunately, there are children that are raising themselves. If you don't care about your own life, you're not going to care about anybody else's."
