Body Found Inside Burning Car in Caddo Parish

Caddo sheriff's deputies are investigating a body discovered inside a burning car last night.

Just after 9:30 last night, deputies received a call from a citizen who said he heard an explosion. When the citizen went to investigate, he discovered a burning Impala at Walden Ferry Road and Elysian Fields in Greenwood. The body was inside the vehicle. It's been sent to the Caddo Coroner's Office for identification.

Fire District 3 extinguished the fire. The sheriff's office is working the case as a homicide. No other information is available right now.
