A boil advisory has been issued for Country Place subdivision.

The City of Bossier City has issued the advisory for a small area of Bossier City’s water distribution system that buys water from Bossier as a bulk water customer. This advisory includes the Country Place Subdivision and a small portion of commercial users east of Red Chute Bayou along Highway 80.

Bossier City maintenance crews will begin scheduled water main adjustment needed for work that the Bossier Levee District is performing along Red Chute Bayou. Work will begin at approximately 9:00 am and is expected to be complete by 3:00 pm. During this time, customers within this area will have low water pressure. The advisory is a precautionary measure and recommends those in the affected area to boil their water for one minute before consuming it until the advisory is rescinded. The advisory pertains only to water used for consumption. Again the advisory is a precautionary measure and not a boil order. All Bossier City customers within this area have been notified of the proposed work. Additionally, the City will notify customers when the advisory is rescinded
