Haughton and South Bossier residents can rest a little easier tonight.

After a lengthy string of burglaries in the area, citizens had gotten concerned that nothing was safe anymore.

Someone, or some group, was out there breaking into vehicles; lots of vehicles, and the fear that those actions had brought upon people had escalated to a near desperation.

That desperation ended, at least for the time being, Friday, December 31, when Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office detectives arrested Rhoelantis A. Davis, 20, of the 1200 block of Delhi Street in Bossier City.

Detectives have charged Davis with a total of 11 counts of Simple Burglary and Theft From a Motor Vehicle.

Davis was booked into the Bossier Maximum Security Facility with his bond set at $605,000.

Bossier Sheriff's detectives tell us this case is still under investigation and there could possibly be additional charges from several other jurisdictions.
