Brock Lesnar Confront’s Louisiana’s Daniel Cormier In UFC Octagon
Lafayette's Daniel Cormier is the most decorated fighter in the UFC right now, and in the argument for one of the best UFC fighters ever.
Cormier beat Stipe Miocic for the UFC Heavyweight Championship on Saturday night, giving him both the UFC Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight Championships at the same time. Making him only the second man (Conor McGregor) to hold two UFC Titles at the same time.
Post fight, Cormier had some things to say about another figher
After that, WWE Universal Champion, and former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar stormed the octagon and shoved Cormier. Lesnar was then interviewed, where he criticized Cormier's opponents, and declared his intention to fight Cormier.
Lesnar is still under contract with WWE.
But that's not going to stop this money train from pulling into UFC Central Station.
After the fight, the quote that circulated from UFC President Dana White was "We're definitely going to make that fight".
Lesnar still has to server a portion of his USAD ban, which he received after a positive PED test after his last UFC fight in 2016. The ban still has somewhere between 5-6 months, which means the earliest Lesnar could return to the UFC would be December, or early 2019.
