The Caddo Courthouse has been shut down the past few days due to an accident involving a repairman. The worker was drilling in to the ceiling when he accidentally drilled in to a live electrical line. The worker was rushed to the hospital where he is recovering after being in critical condition.

Now, following a lengthy inspection of all the courthouse's electrical issues, the Caddo Parish Courthouse will reopen to the public on Wednesday, January 26.

Representatives of Caddo Courthouse said the following:

"Repairs have been made to correct the damage to the Courthouse’s electrical system that occurred on Sunday during maintenance work to the facility.

While the Courthouse will resume normal hours of operation beginning Wednesday, citizens are encouraged to contact individual agencies with specific questions regarding services."
