Can You Drive in Winter Weather Conditions? Here are Some Tips
Well, it sounds like we could actually see snow in the Shreveport/Bossier area. Weather experts are saying there is a strong possibility that snow and sleet could hit the ArkLaTex Tuesday afternoon. In fact, a Winter Weather Advisory has been issued from 9p, Monday night to 6pm Tuesday night.
Some weathermen are even saying we could see up to four inches of snow accumulations by the end of the day Tuesday. If the predictions actually come to fruition, the conditions could make travel dangerous.
Since we don't see snow very often in area, a lot of people don't know how to drive in winter conditions. To help you make it to work, school and anywhere else you HAVE to go to (experts will tell you to avoid the roads if at all possible), the Texarkana Texas Police Department have put out some winter weather driving tips that may just save your life.
Police also say to leave yourself plenty of time to arrive at your destination and to leave at least two car lengths distance between you and any other vehicle.
