Meet this week's Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award recipient Lori Buckley!

Each week, Gary and Bristol shine the light on one of our local residents who help to make Kiss Country the greatest place in the world to live!

This week's recipient is one of those folks you're glad to have in your circle. Lori was nominated by Gertie Duke for her big heart and constant acts of kindness. That's why she has earned the distinction of being named this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award.

Just take a look at the letter we got from Gertie:

Lori, what can I say. A heart of gold. Lori started Misfit Farm Rescue to save the stray dogs but she saw she could save More with transport so she bought a van. Misfit Farm transports unwanted dogs and cats North where they are wanted and Loved. Lori gets calls every day about puppies/dogs left in the woods and different locations. She spends countless hours and even days gaining the trust of these dogs and puppies that are left to starve to death. Lori takes them to be vetted and get ready for transport and adoption up North. Lori will do whatever it takes to save these dogs and puppies. She drives countless hours and many many miles to get them to their fur-ever adoptive families and when she hands off these dogs to their fur-ever home you know why she loves her job. The adopters are crying and the tails are wagging with love. These dogs and puppies are the forgotten and now have a home with love where they are wanted due to Lori’s heart, her fosters' hearts, and the hearts of all rescues. For all the fur babies you have saved and transported GOD has a special place for people like you.
