Update: US Bank has filed court papers to seize a section of the Pierre Bossier Mall in Bossier City. The bank is looking to sell the section of the mall at public auction to pay off the debt owed to them.

Prior to the filing this week, the bank began to notify Pierre Bossier Anchor Acquisition, LLC of the default in April, and continued in June.

The section of the mall that US Bank is looking to seize is the former location of Virginia College, which closed last year.

Original Story: As first suggested by The Inquisitor, now confirmed by KEEL News, the Pierre Bossier Mall is facing a foreclosure in Bossier Parish.

A source confirms with KEEL News that US Bank has filed suit alleging that the mall owes $3,354,739.38 in back payments. The suit was filed Tuesday in Bossier District Court.

The Pierre Bossier Mall has been open since 1982, and is currently owned by Brookfield Properties Retail Group.

According to court filings, an order of executory process is requested, that a Writ of Seizure and Sale be issued immediately, directing the Sheriff of Bossier to seize and after due process, to sell the property at public auction.

No judgment has been made at this time. KEEL News has reached out to Pierre Bossier Mall for comment, but we have not received comment at this time.
