Saturday night, the Bossier Bearkats boys basketball team won their first State Championship since 2012 when they brought down Washington-Marion 42-39.

With 14 points, Tyrese English was the leading scorer for Bossier, while Larry Robinson III had 10 points and 11 rebounds.

The game was at McNeese State's Burton Coliseum in Lake Charles, and since Washington-Marion High School is actually in Lake Charles, it set up like a home game for them. But the Bearkats fought through that, as well as having their thoughts with friends relatives dealing with flooding back home, and and were able to come out on top.

Congrats to the Bearkats!
