Controversial Breastfeeding Photo Leaves Firefighter In Hot Water [VIDEO & POLL]

According to the photographer, Tara Ruby, the reaction from the fire department 'was a big step backward in the movement to normalize breast feeding.'

"There's a story behind this photo, and it's a powerful one, and maybe one that not everybody's ready to hear," said Ruby. "If we want to be a firefighter or a police officer or even active duty military, we can do that and we still have the rights as a mom to breast-feed our child."

The firefighter could possibly face disciplinary actions like unpaid leave because of the photo.
