I don't know about you, but after weeks (going on months) of the Coronavirus shutdown, I need a break.  Certainly, I'm not alone - everyone's day to day schedule has been affected by this pandemic crisis for long enough to wear even the most steadfast among us out.  When you couple that with the fact that summer is knocking on our door, it leads you to one, inevitable conclusion - it's time for a vacation!

To that point, Carnival Cruise lines has had enough as well.  The cruise line giant announced yesterday that their boats would once again be packed full of buffet food, alcohol, and passengers bound for the open sea.  Booking is now open for cruises sailing out of Galveston, Texas and Miami and Port Canaveral, Florida starting as soon as August 1st.

According to the Houston Chronicle, Carnival will only be operating 8 (out of 28) ships out of these 3 ports for the foreseeable future.  I'm not sure what, if any, precautions that Carnival will be taking to ensure the safety of their passengers.

Believe it or not, right now cruise bookings are skyrocketing.  According to USA Today, bookings are up 15% year over year for folks securing their place on a ship in 2021.  That being said, is there any way you would consider taking a cruise this year?  If the price was low enough, would take the leap?
