Louisiana’s DJ Rhett Hilariously Roasts Shreveport Biz, Pastalaya
Not only am I a fan of Louisiana's DJ Rhett, but I'm also a fan of pastalaya and Bergeron's. Sorry, not sorry!
DJ Rhett is an actual DJ from Louisiana. Not only is he good-looking with an interesting face, but he's also funny and has somehow managed to become the unofficial ambassador of all things 'Louisiana.'
While I love me some DJ Rhett, I don't always agree with him. Case in point, have you seen his recent rant regarding pastalaya? I don't care what you say, I love pasta and I will always love pastalaya. I just had the pastalaya last week at Walk-Ons and it was the bomb! Fight me!
However, in his most recent 'live,' DJ Rhett also picked on one of my favorite local establishments. I don't care who you are, Bergeron's Boudin and Cajun Meats, in Shreveport, Bossier, Gonzales, wherever, are life! I may be obsessed with their boudin balls. Check out the video and pay special attention around 1:45.
Did you see it? I went back on the Bergeron's Shreveport Facebook page and found the 'offending' post. It was for pans of cabbage jambalaya to eat for good luck on new year's day. Maybe you've heard of the tradition? Eating cabbage, black-eyed peas, pork, and cornbread on new year's day is supposed to bring you luck in the coming year. I don't know about you, but it seems pretty innocent to me. Hopefully, their business will benefit from the exposure. Try the boudin!
