A video provided by Love Shreveport-Bossier shows the severity of the situation Sunday night on Hearne Avenue. Sunday, April 18th just before 9pm police were called to the scene of a shooting on the 3800 block of Hearne. When police arrived on the scene, they located an adult male with several gunshot wounds to his upper body.

Not long after the man was sent to the hospital, police began receiving calls about other shooting victims from that area showing up to the hospital via private vehicle. All-in-all 5 victims were treated at Ochsner LSU Health for non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to the lower-body.

With Violent Crime and CSI Investigators at the scene of the crime as well as the hospital, some information was gathered. Shell casings were found on the scene and several people were interviewed. It was found out that a large crowd had been gathered at the Raceway gas station on Hearne, when a group on unknown black male suspects walked up to the crowd and began firing indiscriminately.

Detectives are currently working hard to identify the suspects and the shooting is currently under investigation. All the victims of the shooting are expected to recover.
