Eddie Money Loses His Fight With Cancer, Dies at 70
After an intense and short lived battle with cancer, Eddie Money died this morning. The "Two Tickets to Paradise," singer was diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer early last year.
Just a few days ago, we reported that the singer and "Real Money," reality show star had to halt his cancer treatment. According to Variety, the cancer was far more advanced than Eddie had let on to the public.
The Money family has released a statement regarding Eddie's passing:
The Money Family regrets to announce that Eddie passed away peacefully early this morning. It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our loving husband and father. We cannot imagine our world without him. We are grateful that he will live on forever through his music.”
Eddie Money released 11 albums during his stellar career. Besides “Two Tickets to Paradise, ” he also brought us “Baby Hold On,” “Take Me Home Tonight," "Shakin," and countless other amazing songs. He was 70 years old.
