The Executive Director for the Louisiana Republican Party, Andrew Bautsch, was arrested over the weekend barely hours after his own weddingAccording to WBRZ, Bautsch was asked to leave a property at the Pontchartrain hotel in New Orleans around 3 a.m. on Saturday morning when the issue occurred.  That's when the new groom allegedly resisted and shoved a New Orleans Levee District police officer working a security detail.

Mr. Bautsch is reportedly out of jail now and on his honeymoon, but faces charges that include battery, trespass and resisting an officer in New Orleans Municipal Court when he returns.

State GOP chairman Louis Gurvitch spoke on behalf of his compatriot to the New Orleans Advocate, saying that Bautsch "vociferously denies" all charges and chalks the entire incident up to a complete misunderstanding.
