While Monday is forecast to be a mild day here in the Ark-La-Tex, rain re-enters the picture both Tuesday and Wednesday, furthering the risk of flooding. Additional drainage from the north is also impacting our area. Because of this, a flood warning is still in effect for much of our area.

According to the National Weather Service in Shreveport, the Red River in Shreveport was at 30.2' feet as of this morning. Flood stage is 30'. It is forecast to crest Tuesday at 31'.

Bayou Bodcau at Bodcau Lake is currently at 179.88'. Flooding occurs at 172' and it is predicted to crest Friday at 186.8'.

Bayou Dorcheat at Dixie Inn is at 19.33'. Flood stage is 14'. It is forecast to crest Wednesday at 19.5'.

Bayou Dorcheat at Bistineau is at 143.14' as of this morning. Flooding occurs at 142.5' and is forecast to crest Saturday at 144'.

As of this morning, the Red River in Coushatta was at 30.67'. Flood stage is 31' and it is expected to crest Wednesday at 34'.

Lastly, Big Cypress Creek at Mooringsport was reported at 172.3' this morning. Flooding occurs at 172' and it's forecast to crest Wednesday at 172.4'.

Sheriff Steve Prator along with Mayor Ollie Tyler and others held a briefing this morning to address the rising water problems.
