Former LA Officer Pleads Guilty to Felony Abuse of Office
Yesterday, a brand new chapter began in Kenneth Seth Thomas' life. The former Alexandria, Louisiana police officer plead guilty to one felony count of abuse of office. The charge stems from his September 2017 arrest for malfeasance in office, distribution of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of a firearm in the presence of drugs.
Thomas was the target of an internal investigation by his own department and other law enforcement agencies after the Alexandria PD received information about Kenneth's illegal activities. Officials at the Alexandria Field Office have refused to release the name of the informant to the public.
According to U.S. News and World Report, investigators learned that Thomas had distributed marijuana and had sex with at least one woman while on duty. As part of the plea deal, a distribution of marijuana charge was dropped. He is set to sentenced on November 26th of this year.
