Somewhere off the coast of somewhere (California, maybe?), Maverick and his owner were motor boating around when a dolphin made its way up to their boat.

Maverick, being a dog, was immediately intrigued and felt the sudden urge to live life on the edge. Except, instead of living life on the edge, he jumped off the edge and went after the dolphin.
