It's so exciting to have Shreveport's comic con, Geek'd Con, back on the schedule for 2021. We had to unfortunately miss the 2020 show due to the COVID pandemic restrictions around the state. But the show is back on for 2021, with a return set for August 13th-15th at the Shreveport Convention Center.

Before the pandemic, Geek'd Con had become one of the biggest pop culture events in the region. With guests like Michael Rooker, LeVar Burton, Elvira, Peter Mayhew, Chris Sarandon, and more.

Now Geek'd Con is coming back in 2021, and tickets are on sale now.

The lineup for Geek'd Con 2021 already features Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member Alice Cooper, Jay from Jay & Silent Bob fame Jason Mewes, and a ton of other great stars.

Now you can add two more to the lineup, both from the world of comic books.

Marvel Comic artists John Lucas and Roland Paris will both be returning to Geek'd Con in 2021. Each artist has been to previous Geek'd Con events, and have cultivated a large fanbase in the Shreveport and Bossier areas.

John Lucas has had multiple runs with everyone's favorite Merc with a Mouth, from cover artwork, to inks, and pencils...he's even done German language Deadpool books. But that's not the only thing he's got on his resume. His art can be found in X-Men, Superman, Star Trek, Planet of the Apes, and Swamp Thing books. His artwork was even featured on two variant covers for Marvel's massive Civil War series.

He's done cover artwork for characters like Spider-Man, The Avengers, and even the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe! His artwork can be found in books like Guardians of the Galaxy, Iron Man, Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, Spider-Girl, X-Men, Black Panther, Daredevil, and a ton more.

Geek'd Con Lineup 2021: August 13th-15th

After a year off, Geek'd Con is back and we have an amazing lineup! Here's our guest line up for this year's show. If you want to go, you can buy your tickets here.

Legendary Musicians Who Rocked The Hirsch In Shreveport

Here's a sample of the legendary musical acts who have played Shreveport's Memorial Coliseum over the last 60 years. The Hirsch was basically the homefield for bands like Van Halen and ZZ Top, who regularly put the Hirsch near the top of their tours. For that reason, we're actually not going to feature them on this list, because they were basically "house bands" for Shreveport...and that's NOT a bad thing.
