Geek’d Con Announces Shooter McGavin Is Coming To Shreveport

Geek'd Con, Shreveport's comic con, has become one of the biggest pop culture events in the region over the last five years. With guests like Michael Rooker, LeVar Burton, Lou Ferrigno, Elvira, Peter Mayhew, Chris Sarandon, and more.

Next year's Geek'd Con is set for August 21-23 at the Shreveport Convention Center.

As a Holiday gift, Geek'd Con has announced their first guest for the 2020 event this morning. But that wasn't the only guest announcement for today.

Geek'd Con is excited to welcome the one and only Shooter McGavin, Christopher McDonald!

Everyone knows Shooter McGavin from Happy Gilmore, but have you looked at McDonald's resume? Grease 2, Thelma & Louise, Quiz Show, Harry's Law, 61, and a bunch more that we could keep naming...

But his geek credentials are awesome too! Including voicing Kent Mansley in The Iron Giant, Jor-El in Superman The Animated Series, old Superman in Batman Beyond, Lt. Richard Castillo in Star Trek TNG, Captain Nemesis in Ben 10, Sen. Alan Armstrong in Stargate Universe, and Harvey Dent in Beware The Batman.

Recently McDonald has been portraying Coach Dixon in the Netflix show Mr. Iglesias.
