Geek’d Con Brings AEW’s Sammy Guevara To Shreveport

After a big comeback year in 2021, Shreveport's comic con, Geek'd Con is ready to continue to build on their success in 2022. Geek'd Con is set to return August 19th-21st at the Shreveport Convention Center.

Before the pandemic, Geek'd Con had become one of the biggest pop culture events in the region. With guests like Michael Rooker, LeVar Burton, Elvira, Peter Mayhew, Chris Sarandon, and more. During the 2021 comeback show, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member Alice Cooper was live in Shreveport to help welcome the event back.

For 2022, All Elite Wrestling (AEW) will be well represented at Geek'd Con!
ANOTHER of AEW 's "4 Pillars", and another TNT Champion to our lineup, as we welcome Sammy Guevara to Shreveport for Geek'd Con 2022!

Guevara is a Texas native who trained with Hall of Famer Booker T at his Texas-based wrestling school. He worked across multiple independent wrestling promotions before joining AEW.

As an AEW original, Guevara had a match at the promotion's first major show, Double of Nothing in 2019. He also had a prominent role during AEW's first episode of Dynamite, where Sammy took on Cody Rhodes.

After joining forces with legend Chris Jericho in his Inner Circle stable, Sammy continued to grow his fanbase. To the point where he is now recognized as one of AEW's "4 Pillars", representing one of the four most important young talents the company is being built on.

Sammy grabbed the TNT Championship in September of 2021. He dropped the belt to Cody Rhodes in December, but has recently picked up the Interim TNT Championship as well.

It's going to be an amazing year with Sammy joining another AEW superstar, Darby Allin, in Shreveport this August
