It was a great way to kick off a new month in Shreveport. The bands were all awesome Friday night at The Riverside Warehouse during Revolver's Hottest Chicks in Rock Tour.

The evening featured Falling for Scarlet, Diamante, Fit For Rivals, The Agonist and Flyleaf. The room was a-buzz about current Flyleaf vocalist Kristen May, with many saying she sounds nearly identical to former vocalist Lacey Sturm, who left the band in 2012.

A few folks were disappointed that The Agonist's vocalist also changed. Vicky Psarakis joined in 2014 following the departure of founding member Alissa White-Gluz. But I thought Psarakis was outstanding, with the perfect mix of beautiful, melodic vocals and gutteral growling.

I was also impressed that Diamante did a cover of Skid Row's 'Youth Gone Wild,' one of my all-time favorite tunes to sing at karaoke!
