Grammy Winner Sinead O’Connor Is Missing, Potentially “Suicidal”
Reports are surfacing online today that Grammy Award Winner Sinead O'Connor has gone missing.
Late last year, O'Connor received treatment after posting a possible suicide note online, and police believe she may be struggling again. It was reported that she disappeared in the early afternoon yesterday on a motorized bicycle.
O'Connor rose to fame in the 1990s with her single "Nothing Compares 2 U", a song penned for her by the late musical icon, Prince. Her brash, unapologetic style solidified hardcore fans, while pushing parts of the general public away. Culminating in a 1992 music performance on Saturday Night Live where she tore a picture of The Pope to protest the burgeoning sexual abuse scandal within the church.
