Here’s How You Could Win $1,500 in the Mudbug Madness Treasure Hunt
Mudbug Madness Festival Chairperson Teri Matthews talks about the return of this year's event, kicking off with the SWEPCO Mudbug Madness Treasure Hunt and the $1,500 grand prize.
The annual fete, cancelled last year because of the pandemic, is back Memorial Day weekend, May 28 to 30, at downtown Shreveport's Festival Plaza.
This year's musical guests include Louisiana legends like Wayne Toups, Nathan and the Zydeco Cha Chas, Chubby Carrier and Geno Delafose, Shreveport based, but nationally known The Seratones and Willie Jones and the well known rock band, Sister Hazel.
Meanwhile, the annual $1,500 SWEPCO Mudbug Madness Treasure Hunt is underway with the release of the first three clues.
Clue #1:
While we explain where the treasure is hiding, we ask you to remain law-abiding.
No need to dig holes, trespass, or climb poles to reach where our prize is residing.
Clue #2:
In the heat, you may sweat; in the rain, may get wet.
That the treasure’s outdoors would be a safe bet.
Clue #3:
Near one kind of bank, not another
Our treasure waits to be discovered.
Matthews emphasizes that, though there are fifteen clues in all with a new clue released daily, she expects the treasure to be found well before all are publicized.
