I-220 East to I-20 East Ramp in Bossier to be Closed Tonight
Once completed, the extension of I-220 in Bossier City near Louisiana Downs, going into the East Reservation of Barksdale Air Force Base, will be an incredible asset for those who work or just need access to the base.
However, the growing pains we are feeling during the construction process will once again be felt tonight and tomorrow night as the I-220 East Ramp onto I-20 East will be closed for bridge construction.
According to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, the interchange will be closed between the hours of 7:00 pm to 6:00 am both tonight and tomorrow night, August 9 and August 10.
The plan is to do this necessary bridge construction work in these hours in an effort to minimize the impact to the traveling public.
The ramp will be reopened each morning by 6:00 am.
