Ian McShane Taunts ‘Game of Thrones’ Fans to ‘Get a F—king Life’
Whatever your spoiler politics, it was hard to stay mad at Game of Thrones star Ian McShane for his cavalier attitude on revealing a “beloved character” return. The notoriously top-secret series got a dose of vulgar humility from the actor, and now McShane continues his candor, reminding fans to “get a f—king life.” Isn’t he adorable?
You’re warned of minor Game of Thrones Season 6 spoilers from here on out, but where McShane dismissed spoiling the Hound’s return with “it’s only tits and dragons,” the upcoming American Gods star repeated the sentiment in conversation with Empire. Granted, McShane told fans to “get a f—ing life” before, the irascible scalawag really doubled down this time:
The show is huge but some fans seem to identify with it [too closely]. You want to say, ‘Have you thought about your lifestyle? Maybe you should get out a little more.’ Firstly, you love it. Secondly, you’ll have forgotten by the time it comes out. And what am I giving away? A character beloved by everybody returns. Get a f****** life.
We’re willing to bet McShane exercises a bit less candor and spoiler-freedom when it comes to Starz’s American Gods, but time will tell as we approach the April 30 premiere. In the meantime, he’s adorable.
