Political analyst Scott Hughes talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about the final days of the Shreveport mayor's race, including who he sees as the odds-on winner and whether, out of desperation, one of the candidates is about to play "hardball politics."

KEEL's McCarty asks if he (Hughes) if voters should look for "any real negative, nastiness in these last few days? Really going for the jugular."
"I really don't," says Hughes, "Ms. Tyler, regardless what you think about her politically, she's an outstanding lady. I don't see her attacking in the final days just to win a political office. It's not her nature. I'd be shocked if she did that. On the flip side, Mr. Perkins does not have to. He has the advantage. Then there's another fine line ha has to walk. As a young, African-American male, he has to be very careful how he would attack an African-American woman. In that community, that's very serious."
