Lake Charles, Louisiana - Gas prices across America continue to be a topic of conversation, but over the last few weeks gas prices have actually fallen quite a bit. Gas prices could continue to drop as the situation in the Middle East starts to calm down. Per an article from CNBC, Chevron’s Chief Financial Officer Eimear Bonner says oil companies are working to help lower prices, but it may take some time before drivers see the changes at the pump. Oil prices have already fallen after a recent peace agreement, and Chevron expects gas prices to keep coming down as things return to normal.

Gas Prices Continue To Drop in Louisiana

According to AAA, gas prices in Louisiana continue to see slight declines across most fuel types. The average price for regular unleaded is now $3.50 per gallon, down from $3.51 yesterday and $3.57 a week ago. Mid-grade fuel is averaging $3.97, while premium is at $4.37, with both seeing small decreases compared to last week.

Diesel prices are currently averaging $4.47 per gallon, down from $4.49 yesterday and significantly lower than the $5.04 average from a month ago. While prices remain higher than this time last year, Louisiana drivers are seeing continued relief compared to recent monthly averages.
