Roma Italian Restaurant is now open! The owner Benny Roma and his brother Enzo are excited to join the Texarkana community and bring a taste of Italy to the twin cities. The restaurant promises its customers the freshest ingredients in every meal it prepares with its made-from-scratch Italian rolls. From their traditional meatballs and spaghetti that I ordered it was delicious, to say the least.

His brother recommends the Enzo Special which consists of fresh Atlantic Salmon and Shrimp saut'eed olive oil, garlic basil, with fresh vegetables over a bed of rice. I asked Enzo which one was better his or Benny's and he told me, his of course, nothing like some brotherly competition.

Family History

In 1968, the brother's grandfather and uncle moved from Italy to New York City, and in the 1970s the family opened a pizzeria business. In the 1980s it was on to Dallas, Texas until 2008 when the family decided to move to Idabel, Oklahoma opening Roma's Italian Restaurant in 2008 where it's been for 16 years, soon after locations were opened in Sallisaw, Oklahoma and Paris, Texas. So what started as a dream for their grandfather many years ago is now a family legacy with their newest location opening in Texarkana.
