Bert Kouns Will See Lane Closures This Sunday
If your normal Sunday routine takes you along Bert Kouns near its intersection with LA 3132 (Terry Bradshaw Passway), you might want to rethink your route for this Sunday.
In a notice from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, we learn that there will be intermittent lane closures on the LA 526 (Bert Kouns Industrial Loop) Union Pacific railroad crossing just east of the LA 3132 interchange in Shreveport this Sunday, April 7, 2024.
These lane closures are scheduled to be in place from approximately 7:00 am to noon, and are necessary to allow UP railroad crews to perform repairs to the crossing.
This railroad crossing is located immediately east of the LA 3132 interchange.
As with all projects of this nature, the work will be done weather permitting, so in the case of inclement weather, there could possibly be delays or an extension of the scheduled work times/days.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
