How to Schedule Free Spay and Neuter at Robinson’s Rescue

Can you imagine what the Ark-La-Tex would look like without the hard work of the team over at Robinson’s Rescue?

It is honestly mind-blowing when you look at the numbers. In 2025 alone, they performed over 104,000 surgeries. Let that sink in for a second. That is over a hundred thousand lives changed and a massive step toward ending pet overpopulation right here in our backyard. Without them, our local shelters would be at a breaking point, and so many more animals would be left wandering the streets of Shreveport and Bossier.

We recently saw the community come together for their Best in Sheaux event, and honestly, that’s where the magic happens. It’s those fun nights of "dogwalks" and local support that make their mission possible, specifically funding the free spay and neuter programs that keep our community healthy.

Speaking of those programs, it is time to mark your calendars, Robinson’s Rescue is hosting a SSNIP Voucher Day for Caddo and Bossier Parish residents. If you’ve been waiting for an opportunity to get your pet taken care of, this is it.

The Details:

When: April 10th 3 PM to 5 PM

Where: Robinson’s Rescue (2515 Line Ave, Shreveport)

What You Need to Know:

To keep things moving smoothly, there are a few requirements you’ll need to meet. First, make sure you bring your ID to prove residency. You will also need to bring a copy of your proof of income—and yes, they need to keep that copy for their records, so have it ready to go!

Most importantly: Please do NOT bring your pet to Voucher Day. This event is strictly for getting your paperwork handled and your surgery scheduled for a later date. Let’s keep the lobby clear and the process fast!
