And if you think they really know how to put on a rodeo in Springhill, you would be right. It's the oldest continuously running rodeo in the whole state of Louisiana!

Activities actually began this past weekend with team roping and barrel racing. But this week, on Wednesday, September 20, they'll hold Mutton Busting for the little ones!

Then this Thursday, September 21, they'll hold the Annual Rodeo Parade through downtown Springhill beginning at 5:30 pm and then they'll hold the first performance of the rodeo beginning at 7:00 pm.  And since this event is sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, it always brings out the best cowboys and livestock.

According to the event's website, springhillprcarodeo.com, the events continue Friday and Saturday nights, September 22 and 23 beginning at 7:00 pm each night and will feature all kinds of events for the entire family!

Of course they'll have lots of concessions available both nights with all the laughter of some of the best rodeo clowns in the business.

Tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for kids 6 to 12 and 5 and under get in free.  You can get those at the gate or purchase them in advance HERE.
