#4. New Orleans

Here's what Southern Living said about NOLA:

There's no place quite like New Orleans. The Big Easy has a culture entirely its own that can be felt in everything from the crowds on Bourbon Street to the music drifting out of Preservation Hall to the cloud-like beignets served at Cafe Du Monde. Take a stroll through Crescent Park, stop to watch a saxophonist play, and make reservations for dinner at Commander's Palace. Each of these activities (and a million more) are rights of passage in the Crescent City.
