Nothing screams “Texas” quite like a longhorn making a late-night Target run. Seriously, I grew up in the Lone Star State and wasn’t in the least bit shocked when I came across the video below on X. If you’re from here, you know that sort of thing happens way more often than it should.

As the son of a cattle buyer, I was taught how to work cattle at a young age. The first thing my dad taught me was to respect them and give them plenty of distance, especially when it comes to bulls. You can prod them all you want from behind a steel fence, but at the end of the day, a 1,500 bull is going to go where he wants, when he wants.

Hopefully, the longhorn bull that was filmed roaming around near Target in Flower Mound, didn’t decide to go inside and do a little shopping, because I can’t think of anything more terrifying than coming face to face with a bull in the men’s clothing section. There would be no more shopping for me. I would drop everything and make a mad dash for the front door.

Locals Say the Longhorns Escape Often

Some of the folks commenting on the video say there’s a pasture full of longhorns across the street from that Target. One person said that the longhorns get out regularly. It sounds to me like it’s time for the rancher to mend some fences. If not, they’re liable to find themselves in a heap of trouble at some point.
