The Town of Blanchard is currently reporting interruptions to water service impacting the operations of Blanchard Elementary, Donnie Bickham Middle and Northwood High School.

There was a 20" water main break on Highway 1 about a 1/2 a mile from Highway 169. Crews are in the process of fixing it and hope to have it repaired by this afternoon.
Blanchard Mayor Jim Galambos tells KEEL News he will be posting updates on social media, but he's confident service will be restored by later today.

He says some residents are experiencing low water pressure, but others at higher elevations might have no water.
He says the crews are working as quickly as possible to try to make sure the system is not compromised. He does anticipate a boil advisory will be put in place for all of Blanchard once full service is restored.

With no current estimated time of restoration, these campuses will be closed today.
