Bossier Police Officer Shoots and Kills Suspect During Altercation

Early Monday (2/3/25) Bossier City Police received a call form the 5300 block of East Texas Street. The caller suddenly hung up shortly after BCPD answered and officers were sent to the Southern Living Mobile Home Park for a welfare check.

When Officers showed up at the scene, an obvious altercation occurred that ended with one woman losing her life.

From Bossier City Public Information Officer Louis Johnson:

"The Bossier City Police Dept. responded to a 9-1-1 call at approximately 4:00 a.m. the initial call was a hang up call.

Upon arrival Bossier City Police became involved in a life threatening encounter. A Bossier Officer discharged their weapon resulting in a fatality of the suspect involved in the incident.

This incident has been turned over to the Louisiana State Police for investigation. Any questions regarding this matter should be forwarded to the L.S.P.

The Bossier City Police Dept. regrets ever having to use deadly force. However this force is deemed necessary in the case of protecting life and keeping our citizens safe."
