Home Invasion Suspect Arrested by Shreveport Police

On April 7, at approximately 5:30 p.m., Shreveport Police officers responded to a call in the 4600 block of Lakeshore Drive regarding a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officers discovered a volatile situation involving the unauthorized entry of Kenyatta Metcalf, aged 21, into an apartment at the aforementioned location.

Metcalf, without consent, entered the residence and proceeded to commit a battery upon the occupants. In response to the witness recounts of the incident, officers took Metcalf into custody.

Metcalf has been charged with the following offenses:

- One count of home invasion

- One count of felony domestic abuse battery

- One count of domestic abuse battery by aggravated assault

It is pertinent to note that no injuries were reported as a result of the altercation.

The Shreveport Police Department urges anyone who may have other instances of domestic violence to come forward and assist in the ongoing efforts to combat this pervasive issue in our community.

We are required to remind that all suspects are innocent until found guilty.
