Live Boxing Event Coming to Bossier Eastbank District

Maybe because I remember "Little Timmy Dement," as Howard Cosell called him, that I think this is really cool. But boxing returns to Bossier in the East Bank District in a Collaboration Event with the Bossier Arts Council and the Dement Bros Boxing Club, "Louisiana Legends" Enters the Ring in the East Bank Plaza!
Also, my dad boxed for Golden Gloves with Irish McNeil way back in the day. I still remember boxing matches at the Municipal Auditorium. If you're a boxing fan, you'll be treated to 20 bouts at this event coming to Bossier's East Bank District. According to their Facebook post:
Louisiana Legends is a ONE DAY Community Event that will bring the Best Local Boxers together for an Amateur Contest honoring the Fighting Spirit of the 318 like no other! Spectators can expect around 20 bouts, with the First Bell set to ring at 3:00 PM. Leading up to the first bout, there will be Artist Vendor Booths to Shop, Community Games to Play, and Delicious Food Trucks set up for you to try! VIP Seating will be available with Live Musical Performances the Bossier City Torpedos and DJ MP3.Sponsors for this event are welcomed as this Community Event is about Raising Donations to help the Dement Bros Boxing Club find a New, Permanent Boxing Gym! Admission will also be Donation at the Door!
