SHREVEPORT, LA-   Man Wanted in Murder of 14-Year-Old Boy at Local Park

On July 6th at approximately 5 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 3000 block of Lakeshore Drive at Bilberry Park. Upon arrival, officers discovered a juvenile victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital but ultimately died from his injuries.

Detectives with the Shreveport Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit responded to the scene and began their investigation. They are now seeking the public's assistance in locating 19-year-old Jermaine Choate. Choate is wanted for one count of second-degree murder and is considered armed and dangerous.
