5 Texas Cities Are Named Among Safest in U.S.
SHREVEPORT, LA – Five Texas cities rank among the safest cities in the United States. No cities on Louisiana are named among the safest in the nation. This list was compiled by the folks at Moneygeek.
Florida also has four cities on this latest list of safe cities.
The safest city on this list is Ramapo Town, New York where the crime cost per capita is $271 dollars. One Texas city checks in at #2 on this list. Stamford, Connecticut is #25 on the list with a cost of crime fighting at $574 dollars/per capita.

On the Moneygeek list of the safest small cities, there is only one city in the south on the list. It is Johns Creek, Georgia where the cost of fighting crime averages $104 dollars per capita. No cities in Louisiana or Texas make this list.
FBI crime data and costs associated with criminal activity were crunched by research professors from the University of Miami and the University of Colorado Denver. The results show which towns with populations between 30,000 and 100,000 residents are the safest. Over 1,000 cities ranked in the list.
