Shreveport Police Arrest Man Suspected in a Local Murder

On May 24th, 2023, around 9:15 p.m. Shreveport Police Patrol Officers responded to a call of a shooting in the 1800 block of David Raines. Upon the arrival of patrol officers, the victim was located suffering from a gunshot wound. The Shreveport Fire Department was notified and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

Members of the Shreveport Police Violent Crimes Unit and Crime Scene Investigations Unit responded to the scene and began their investigation. During the ensuing investigation, Detectives collected evidence and determined that Reginald Roberson (DOB 07/31/1998) was reportedly responsible for the homicide. Roberson was arrested and charged with one count of Second-Degree Murder and one count of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.

Investigation into this case is ongoing. We are required by law to state that all persons are innocent until proven guilty.
