Shreveport Woman Arrested for Domestic Violence and Child Endangerment
Shreveport Police Department’s Domestic Violence Unit arrested a woman following an investigation into a domestic incident that happened last month.
The investigation showed that the incident took place at a residence on Murvon Street. SPD Detectives looked at surveillance footage from a nearby home, which showed Jasmine Perry pulling up the location to pick up her child. The video showed Perry exiting her vehicle, becoming upset, and hitting the victim in the face.
During an interview, Perry said she did not remember the events after exiting her car. She was shown the surveillance footage as part of the investigation.
Eight children between the ages of 2 and 11 years old were present during this incident, leading to additional charges.
Jasmine Perry was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of Domestic Battery (Second Offense) and eight counts of Child Endangerment.
From SPD:
"This case highlights the serious and far-reaching impact of domestic violence, especially when children are exposed to these incidents. The Shreveport Police Department remains committed to holding offenders accountable and protecting vulnerable victims."
